Safe fuel tanks

Fuelling of vehicles and machinery is a crucial factor for smooth operations at construction sites. For this reason, diesel fuelling stations are subject to strict requirements regarding safety, ergonomic design and long service life. The variety is huge: single-walled containers made of various materials for public road transport, double-walled containers for storage at construction sites or combinations of these variants.

For more than 40 years, Rietbergwerke Container Technology, a company of the Seppeler Group, provides suitable and individually configurable solutions. The round or square containers and tanks are developed and manufactured in Rietberg and hot-dip galvanized in the companies in-house galvanization plant. "No other company has more experience in this field than us. Rietberg had already been greatly involved in the development of the first mobile diesel tank," explained Guido Röttgers, responsible for Business Development at Rietbergwerke.

Containers and tanks for various requirements
This know-how for example shows in the mobile tanks type CONTY or QUADRO-C. The single-walled type CONTY is approved as metal packaging for transport of up to 450 l of fuel. Supply trips are possible as well. In comparison to containers and tanks made of plastic, there is no durability date (5 years after manufacturing) and periodic 2½-year inspections for leakage are not required. This saves money and costly fees as trips with diesel are subject to strict regulations.

The flat, single-walled design of CONTY ECO 200 and 440 is a new development. Guido Röttgers: "We have learned from our customers that they prefer low containers for transport on pickup trucks to ensure unobstructed rear view." The double-walled containers type QUADRO-C, however, are approved as bulk containers (IBC) and may be transported under simplified conditions and even stored at construction sites. Fittings and other equipment is perfectly secured and well protected in a large box on the system.
